Specifications

Input Voltage:

DC 9-12 VDC input via barrel jack, from an AC/DC transformer or a
regulated dc power source. – Use the provided AC/DC adapter,
which is country specific and has all local standards approvals.

   

Telephone Line Interface:

Connect one side of the standard RJ-11 telephone cable to the GC-
50 (LINE) socket, on the back of the unit, and the other side to the
wall line socket.

   

DTMF Telephone Connection:

Connect a normal DTMF telephone to the RJ-11 socket in the back
of the GC-50 called (PHONE). This will enable the GC-50 to share
the line with a touch tone phone. This phone must be strictly for
emergency calls only.

   

RS232 Serial PC Connection:

The unit offers local connection of GC-50 directly to the PC.
Connect the male side of a D-Type serial cable (9-PIN) to the GC-
50, and the female side to a free serial port of the PC.

   

Operating Environment:

The GC-50 is an indoor device, which must be protected from
moisture or water.

   

Memory Capacity:

The GC-50 has 1 Mega Bytes of internal memory capable of storing
up to 256,000 events.

   

Data Transfer Rate:

Between GC-50 and GC-02 – 9600 baud RS232, and between PC
and GC-50 – 9600 baud for both RS232, and modem connections.

4) Automatic Remote Schedule dial-in received from GC-50

   

Call-back Telephony Function:

For a secure PSTN connection, and as a cost reduction for the
Central PC telephone fees, the GC-50 will hang up and dial-in to the
PC Call Center after a coded handshake and call-back request.

   

Answering Machine Defeat Telephony Function:

GC-50 shares the same line as a fax machine, or answering
machine. This feature will enable the GC-50 to pickup on the first
ring, after receiving a call with a single ring if normally the number of
rings to pickup is programmed to allow the fax machine to pick up
the line first.
